| Dr. Wayne Label received his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley and his MBA and Ph.D. at the University of California, Los Angeles. During his time at UCLA he also passed the CPA examination and worked in public accounting in order to receive his CPA certificate. After graduation he took his first full time position in Accounting at the University of Texas, Arlington. During his five years there he was a co-author of an Introduction to Accounting textbook. He then received a phone call from a friend to move to Rio de Janeiro to help start the first MBA program in that city, and the second in Brazil. Wayne received a Ford Foundation Grant to allow him to participate in this program. His intention was to return to Arlington, but received another phone call from a different friend to participate in a very important project at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Cohen Commission. He moved to New York City for this one-year appointment. After a couple of different universities, he took his first administrative post as Director of the School of Accountancy at the University of Hawaii, Manoa Campus, and then his second as the Chairman of the Department of Accounting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During this time Dr. Label’s interests moved into the International Accounting and International Business fields. He took a sabbatical to study more about both of these topics in Peru, Chile and Mexico. He also spent one year in Bolivia working with Harvard University to start a Master’s Degree in International Auditing. These interests allowed him to accept the position of a new research center in Laredo, Texas at Texas A& M International University and Visiting Professor of International Business at St. Mary's University. It was during this time that he took a group of students to study abroad in Havana, Cuba for 10 days. Dr. Label has published many articles in professional journals as well as three books. He is currently revising his book "Accounting for Non-Accountants", which will be published with Sourcebooks in Spring, 2006. He is currently teaching Auditing, Fraud Auditing and Accounting for Non-Accountants online for the University of Maryland and UCLA. |

| I live in San Diego part of the year, and in Puerto Vallarta part of the year. Not too unlucky, eh? We are fortunate to have several friends and relatives spread between Northern and Southern California and Puerto Vallarta. |
